Wedding Bells

A glass chapel and bronze bells greet the young lovers as they meet down the carpeted aisle together.

Sunlight dapples through the morning mist and joyously rises above the honored guests assembling in unison.

Whispers and smiles stretch across the pews filled with elegant churchgoers dabbing away delicate emotion.

Chatter turns to murmurs as the music swells in anticipation of the brides-to-be uniting in the construct of love.

Tears spill from those veiled in lacey white and suited in velvety black. Vows recited with no doubts or hesitation.

To become one is to sacrifice the self and commit to an uncertain future together in matrimony.

To choose one another above all else, and to cherish this one life and live as soul mates ‘til we are no more.

Friend, lover, companion. You are my equal — and with this ring I choose to cast aside all others for they cannot compare. Chimes ring out while doves fly past the crowd, their symbology pristine as their plumage. Together at last.
